EE news: Business Connect Usage Alerts

EE has announced that it has made changes to the Business Connect Usage Alerts, providing customers with even more control on their spend. The changes, which came into effect on 27th April 2016, mean that all new and existing Business Connect customers will now receive a usage alert, unless they choose to opt out. Once you have reached 80% and 100% across minutes, data and texts, you will receive a text.

What do EE have to say about this?...

"Great news we have made changes to Business Connect Usage Alerts providing customers with even more control on their spend. • From the 27th April Usage Alerts will be auto-deployed to all new customers as default and no longer require agents to add the alerts to customer accounts. Customers will receive a text alert on both their individual and shared allowances once they reach 80% and 100% utilisation across UK minutes, texts, data and international (IDD) minutes and texts. Customers wishing to opt-out or change who receives these alerts can manage usage alerts through My EE. • In addition we have deployed text based Usage Alerts to all existing Business Connect customers providing the same notifications and level of control. Customers will receive alerts both on individual and shared allowances when they are nearing the end of their bundle and when their allowance has depleted reducing the risk of bill shock and providing more customer control".
