EE roaming in Europe: Thanks guys!

As you most likely have heard already, by your current network provider or by Business Mobile Life, on the 15th June, all UK mobile operators will be forced to abolish roaming fees for customers travelling across Europe, thanks to a European Commission directive.

EE,  as well as O2 and Vodafone, have to abide by this new law. In fact, IO2 and Vodafone have already jumped to the request and are now offering EU packages within their bundles. However, EE had to go one step further! Not in a good way, I must add!

Last week, the company announced that they will "launch European roaming for all customers at no extra cost". The launch date? June 15th. They are implying that this is under their own steam and good moral compass!

They have stated that from next month, customers can utilise the calls, texts and data they enjoy at home while travelling in 47 European destinations.

However, EE is doing a little more than necessary, adding a handful of European destinations that aren't in the EU.

The full list of European countries: Austria, Azores, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guiana, Germany, Gibraltar (UK), Greece, Guadeloupe, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Martinique, Poland, Portugal, Reunion Islands, Romania, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin (French), San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands and Vatican City, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Monaco, Isle of Man, Jersey & Guernsey.
