O2 UPDATE: Delay to Business Roaming - Rest of World Pass

Hold off on the long distance call home!

O2 have just announced that their new worldwide version of the well know O2 Travel plan has been placed on hold! Why we ask?

The network have said;

"Sorry, our new Rest Of World Pass isn’t yet matching the high standards we require and won’t launch on 8 November as planned. We’ll keep working on it and let you know when it’s good to go. You can still use your Worldwide 24 hour data Bolt On or Worldwide data Bolt On for all the data you need to stay in touch abroad".

When asked for reasons behind this delay, they advised to go to their website for updates - o2.co.uk/restofworld

They have advised that all clients will remain on the same service they receive today. If you currently have a bolt-on for when you use your O2 network abroad, you can gain more information about the Worldwide data Bolt Ons here.

When asked for a timeframe on the new Rest of World Travel bolt-on, the network could not say.

Watch this space for any updates received from O2....

UPDATE: 16/11/16 Following a brief delay, O2 have announced that their new Rest Of World Pass will now be launching on 17th November 2016. This pass will be replacing their Worldwide Data Bolt Ons and will be providing customers with calls, texts and more data in 87 destinations around the world.
