Dr Mobile: New Crysis virus. Beware!
There is a VERY nasty virus making its way around the world
at the moment called Crysis. Its infiltrating networks that are using
sub-standard passwords. Worse than we have seen before, because its pro-actively
seeking weak points in computer networks.
For all business users out there with a PC, you should carry out the following;
1) If you receive
an email you are unsure about – do NOT open the attachment. Although most business IT departments have
anti-spam filtering currently in place, some will still get through the net, as they look look like the real deal. You can even receive one from what would look like a colleague's email account with information on a work related matter, such as an
invoice that has been paid. They can look quite genuine, but the attachment contains a virus.
2) Never use basic emails such as the popular "Password". This is NOT a secure password! If you do have this, or something similar, it will need to be changed. I would advise you use at least an 8 letter word, with a
capital letter, number and a symbol. Go to this site to generate one if you

Remember, be safe!
